The weather hasn’t been great, which is a good excuse to stay inside and knock some projects off my list. Strangeways, a local brewery in town, commissioned me to make their logo using their caps. They also asked me to make some roses for their tasting room. This has led to several commissions for specialized ones. I finally started on some new flowers for my wedding. I’ve only made a hand full and have many more to go. A friend of mine asked me to make Olympic Metals for his Beer Olympics (which coincided with the winter games). I finished the birdhouse I was commissioned to make last summer. It’s a little smaller than the first, but it was much easier to make. I also made a second set of Ram horns for my fiancée. My full time job sent me to Switzerland. Among the many things I did was a trip to what was supposed to be the best beer store in the country. Not only did I leave with some great beer, I was also given a bag of roughly 4000 European caps!
The car I was commissioned to make is just about done. I’m also very close to finishing the honey bee for my mom’s birthday. Next on the list are several signs for local food trucks and another sign for Strangeways Brewery.
